Maiden Nation Facebook Page
Maiden Nation launched it’s Facebook page on November 1st. The goal was to gain 30k fans in 4 months. Maiden Nation would then drive fans to register with its site and build a repeat consumer audience, or “nation”.
The initial grassroots campaign was built around a simple, powerful, and direct call to action. Users were compelled to “become a citizen of Maiden Nation.” The notion of citizenship emphasized the social responsible brand message while also prompting participation. The Facebook page encouraged passionate and meaningful dialogue. By addressing the experience of women on a broad range of topics spanning from global issues to style preference, Maiden Nation grew to 30k fans by November 20th. The page grew at a rate of .16 per fan, one of the lowest cost per fan rates in the industry.
