Viral Loop 2008-13

Viral Loop 2008-13 | Ongoing collaboration with journalist and NYU professor Adam Penenberg to assess the real time value of users in a participation-based economy via social media and iphone platforms.

The project featured data visualization, market simulations, and the exploration of audiences within a social network. The project included contributions and planning from University of Minnesota Graduate Computer Science students Marc Johnson, Adam Backstrom, Bushrat Chowdhury, and Jeff Gold.  The initial campaign received attention in Publishers Weekly, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Observer,The Atlantic Monthly & Tech Crunch. The next iteration will be released January 2013.
